Celebrate Bloomsday on June 16

Annual festivities honor events of Ulysses by James Joyce
June 16, Friday, 6 – 7:30 p.m.
Clunie Grand Hall at McKinley Library
601 Alhambra Blvd, Sacramento
Celebrated worldwide for over 60 years, Bloomsday marks the anniversary of both the fictional events in James Joyce’s Ulysses and Joyce’s first outing with his wife in 1904.
Festivities include:
  • Fiddle and mandolin music performed by Bob Wren
  • Presentation by Irish Literature Professor Gregory Dobbins
  • Singing performance by Catherine Fagiolo
  • Reading of Molly Bloom's famous soliloquy 
Guests are invited to dress in Edwardian costume, circa 1904.
