As we make our way through the hottest part of summer, many families turn to beating the heat by heading to a river, lake, or the coast and having a fun day at the beach. This month’s list is full of books set on the seaside, from wistful paeans to warm summer evenings to stories about conquering fear of the water and, of course, books about how to build the perfect sandcastle.
