Storytimes are a great way to spend time together and practice the early learning skills that are so crucial for future school readiness.
Librarians provide age-appropriate stories, songs, rhymes, and movement activities in a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Young children learn language, social skills, motor skills, and more. Parents and caregivers participate along with their children, and are encouraged to continue the
early literacy activities of Singing Talking Reading Writing and Playing at home. Every Sacramento Public Library branch offers storytimes – Come join the fun!
Your child is never too young for reading together! We offer storytime for:
-
Babies (0-18 months)
-
Toddlers (18 month – 3 years)
-
Preschoolers (3-5 years)
