Valley to Vietnam

4/25/2013
Watch interviews with local Vietnam veterans as they discuss their experiences overseas and their return home.

Valley to Vietnam is an exciting new storytelling project from the Sacramento Public Library. This project captures the experiences of Vietnam veterans who grew up in Sacramento, served in Vietnam, and then came back to the Capital City. Through a partnership with Access Sacramento, the library was granted the equipment to record these interviews.

Episodes of Valley to Vietnam are aired on the first Monday of each month, at 8:30 pm, on Access Sacramento’s Channel 17. So far, 10 in-studio interviews have been recorded.

Watch an interview with Sacramento native Ted Adams of the Vietnam Veterans of American, Chapter 500, who served three tours of duty in Vietnam, one with the Ninth Infantry Division and two with the Green Berets.

If you know of a local Vietnam veteran who would be interested in telling their story, please contact project coordinator James Scott at 264-2795 or jscott@saclibrary.org.
