The children’s area will become the new Families and Books Center. It will feature a colorful play space, more room for young kids to explore age-appropriate books, child-friendly book bins, and iPads with supportive literacy applications.
During the renovation, a portion of the children’s book collection will be moved to the community room and available for check out. Weekly storytime programs will continue through February 14: Tuesdays, 11:30 a.m. for ages 18 months to 5 years; and Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. for babies through 18 months.
Regularly scheduled Fair Oaks Library programs will resume March 26. A grand reopening celebration for the Families and Books Center is scheduled for Saturday, March 30 from 12 noon to 2:30 p.m.
The renovation is made possible through the generous support of the
Rotary Club of Fair Oaks and the
Friends of Fair Oaks Library.
