Why, the Sacramento Room is home to the special collections and archives of Sacramento Public Library.  Located on the 2nd floor of the 1918 Carnegie library at 9th and I, we have collections on local history – books, maps, photos, ephemera, news clippings and more – all accessible without appointment.  Fun fact: the Sacramento Room is sometimes called the “jewel in the crown” of Sacramento Public Library.
