The Library had a New Year’s resolution for 2014: to redesign our newsletter.
We’d already made been some changes in recent months, like putting more focus on upcoming events and better integrating the content with our website. But as the year drew to a close, we decided to redesign the Library News from the ground up. Now we’ve got a whole new look, and a new way to navigate. We’ve also heard from those of you who read the newsletter on a smartphone, tablet or other portable device.
How to use the redesigned newsletter
Read the January 2014 newsletter and subscribe.
When you find a story you’re interested in, click the big “MORE” link to the right.
You’ll be redirected to the corresponding page on our website to read the full article.
While this approach will be unfamiliar to many users, it offers some advantages. Our emails will take up less room in your email inbox, letting you focus on just the stories you care about.
As for the content itself, some things are changing, while others are staying the same. Each month will feature a message from Library Director Rivkah K. Sass, a profile of a library staffer or volunteer, and our Staff Picks for good books to read. You’ll also see some new monthly features: our listings for Upcoming Events, our Library Happenings page showing you some pictures of stuff we’ve done in the last month, and a Feature Service of the Month page that will let you know about one of the dozens of cool services we offer.
So have a look. To let us know what you think, please send feedback to email@example.com
