Learn a language with Rosetta Stone

7/8/2014
Sacramento Public Library’s new language instruction service debuts Aug. 1.

On Aug. 1, Sacramento Public Library will begin offering free access to Rosetta Stone, a leading provider of online services designed to help people master a new language.

Rosetta Stone is based on the idea that everyone has the ability to learn a new language. This service offers libraries and their patrons the proven immersion method that more than 20,000 schools have trusted for more than 20 years.

Rosetta Stone language-learning unlocks that potential with instant feedback, fun activities and expert guidance to keep you engaged and motivated. With a simple log-in through the Library, you can:
  • Learn at your own pace on almost any device with the mobile app.
  • Interact with software that tracks your progress and automatically adjusts to your learning needs.
  • Take core lessons to build reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

Please note that Rosetta Stone will replace Sacramento Public Library’s previous language software provider, Mango Languages, which will no longer be available after Aug. 1.
