Sacramento Public Library

New Career Center launches July 1

6/27/2014
Let Tutor.com and Sacramento Public Library help you with the hard job of getting a job.

On July 1, Sacramento Public Library will introduce a new service called Career Center.

The job market is tough, but you don’t need to face these challenges alone. Through Career Center from Tutor.com, you can access online career tutoring from the privacy of your own home or anywhere you have an Internet connection.

Tutor.com’s specialized Career Tutors are available online between 1 and 11 p.m., seven days a week. Online tutors can help:
  • Navigate a job search.
  • Write a resume.
  • Prepare for an interview.
  • Apply for jobs online.

Career Center also offers lots of resources 24/7, including:
  • Job listings.
  • Sample resumes.
  • Career websites.

It’s simple and free with your library card. If you’d like a demonstration of how to use the service, please visit the library or ask your tutor for a tour of the classroom.

Career Center will replace the Library’s old career service, Job Now, which will no longer be available through the Library website after June 30.
