About the Program

Lunch @ the Library helps keep Sacramento’s children and teens nourished and engaged while school is out. By serving healthy meals during the summer, the Library is helping to combat hunger and ensure that Sacramento kids return to school in the fall ready to learn.

In 2016, the Lunch @ the Library program served more than 8,000 meals to youth in the greater Sacramento area with more than 50 volunteers contributing their time and talent in support of the program.
