The Sacramento Public Library programs are intended to promote and enhance the collections, services and mission of the library.
Program proposals from the public which complement the mission of the library are welcome and will be considered. Our mission: Community + Ideas + Resources = Sacramento Public Library. Programs are selected by the Programming Committee according to the needs of the community; the library’s programming goals; the suitability of each library’s physical space; the program’s contribution to the library’s overall schedule of events; the proven expertise of the presenter; and the availability of library staff to assist with the program at the library venue.
Programs must comply with the library meeting room policy, which states that programs be open to the public, free of charge and prohibit commercial advertising, direct solicitation or fundraising.
