Courtland

Serving Delta residents since 1909, the Courtland Library has long been a beloved community treasure. Once housed in a resident’s living room and then later at the local post office, we are now located on the grounds of Bates Elementary School.

These services are made possible by the tremendous support from the community as well as the Friends of the Courtland Library. As a testament to their passion and commitment, a Courtland volunteer group kept the facility open by operating the library from 1993-2003. The Friends of the Courtland Library continue to provide volunteer service and pursue fundraising efforts including a book sale at the annual Pear Fair.

Sobre la Biblioteca

Sirviendo a los residentes de la Delta desde 1909, la Biblioteca Courtland siempre ha sido un tesoro de la comunidad. Una vez localizado en la sala de un residente y después en la oficina de correos, la biblioteca ahora está ubicada en los terrenos de la Escuela Primaria Bates. Estos servicios son posibles debido a la enorme ayuda de la comunidad y de los Amigos de la Biblioteca Courtland. Como testimonio de su pasión y devoción, un grupo de voluntarios mantuvo la biblioteca abierta desde 1993 hasta 2003.
