Uglies - Scott Westerfeld
Scott makes you feel as if you are in the book feeling the pain of whether you should get the surgery to become "Pretty" or stay "Ugly." If you're ugly, you have to work and live in Uglyville. Or, be pretty and party every day and never work another day. Wouldn't you want to stay an Ugly even though Ugly is just a normal person where everybody is unique, instead of getting surgery, ripping your skin off, getting rid of your lips and everything else just so you could look like every other person? Also, once you get old you live in a completely different town and are forgotten. I would always rather be " Ugly," Unique and Loved. This book makes the viewer really see what happens in a life that's different than their own.
