Come August, Come Freedom

Come August, Come Freedom

Come August, Come Freedom - Gigi Amateau

The raw emotions portrayed in this book were heart-wrenching, as well as the characters' spirits. The description became dull and dry at times, though, almost to the point of being robotic. The book is similar to almost all slavery books I've glanced at or read (Uncle Tom's Cabin, for example).

I would recommend this book to a friend who enjoys historical fiction during the time of slavery.
