More than 90% of all taxpayers file their taxes online. As a result we're offering 2016 tax forms online. Stop by any of our 28 locations and ask a librarian for assistance locating tax forms online or utilize the information below to secure your documents from the comfort of your own home. 
 

Where to get forms and instructions for tax year 2016

We recommend that you start early. If you request forms by mail, it may take several weeks to receive them. Downloads are immediate.

Where to get help preparing your tax return

Call 2-1-1 or (916) 498-1000 after January 17 to make an appointment for free tax preparation help. Phones are open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for income-eligible families.
