Art & Writing Guidelines
E-mail your submission to eteen@saclibrary.org . You can submit written work in the body of the e-mail message or send it as a Microsoft Word attachment. Visual art such as drawing, painting, photography, etc., must be submitted electronically as either a .jpeg or .gif attachment.
- You must include your name, age, telephone number and the name of your school on each submission. If possible, include your email address. You must be 12 to 18 years old to be published.
- To be published, the work must be appropriate to a teen audience. A panel of teen editors and librarians will review content on an ongoing basis.
- Be sure to include a title. Label all work fiction or nonfiction.
- We won't publish artwork that includes copyrighted characters like Spiderman or Sailor Moon. >Each submission must include the following originality statement: "This will certify that the above work is completely original," with your full name to affirm this is your work.
- We don't return work to you, so be sure to make a copy if you want one to keep. If you need help with a submission see your local librarian.
