What you need to know for your next visit

We look forward to seeing you on your next visit to the library. California and Sacramento County’s mask mandate has expired. Visitors are not required to wear masks indoors. Of course, you can continue to mask as long as you’d like if that makes you comfortable.
For health and safety:

Please continue to stay home when you are not feeling well.

  • Avoid entering if you have a cough or fever
  • Cover your sneeze or cough
  • Wash your hands
  • We may limit occupancy if necessary
Which locations are not fully open to the public yet, but offer curbside service?
Ella K. McClatchy is not yet open to the public. We hope to welcome the public back soon. In the meantime, this location offer curbside service. View our list of all of our locations and hours of operations.
Curbside service is available at most locations Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with the following exceptions: Isleton, Nonie Wetzel Courtland and Walnut Grove service hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays from 1 to 6 p.m.

What safety measures are in place at the library?
Public health and safety are our priorities. To help protect health and safety and to slow the spread of COVID-19, our staff continue to:
  • Routinely disinfect high-touch surfaces
  • Provide hand-sanitizer and face masks for public use
  • Conduct daily health checks

Can I drop off donated materials at the library?
The library is accepting donations at this time. Learn more about their donation guidelines.
What services are available?
We look forward to serving you in-person at the library and continue to offer curbside pickup, and mobile printing. Our Mobile Services team continues to bring the library to various locations throughout our region.

We offer a wide variety of virtual programs for all ages from storytime and book clubs to teen programming and English Conversation Groups. View our calendar of events for details. 

What if I don’t feel comfortable coming into the library?
Please use our curbside service and join us for our virtual programs.
How can I support the library during this time?
