What We Are Reading
The Serial Killer Guide to San Francisco by Michelle Chouinard
"In this mystery, Capri, the granddaughter of a serial killer makes a living running True Crime tours of the city and is currently considering researching a book about the crimes to earn money to help put her daughter through grad school since her former mother in-law has just cut off support for tuition. But then her sordid family past once again becomes front page news when a copycat killer strikes very close to home making Capri and her daughter prime suspects. All too aware of the effect of the initial crimes on her family, Capri begins investigating to prevent a modern-day miscarriage of justice. A cozy mystery with a bit of an edge and a local connection? That’s enough to make a lot of readers say “yes please!” Some may think serial killer element means it’s not for them, but rest assured, this is very much a traditional cozy and would make a great suggestion for any fan of the genre."
