Join the Colonial Heights Library for an evening of food and discussion. The following books are suggested, not mandatory. (recommended for ages 13-19) Suggested Reading: Feminism: reinventing the F-word by Nadia Higgins We Should all be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Our Stories, our voices: 21 YA authors get real about injustice, empowerment, and growing up female in America Laverne Cox by Erin Stanley Period Power: a manifesto for the menstrual movement by Nadya Akamoto Activities: 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Healthy snacks, post-it-art, peer-to-peer discussion – this is a space for young adults led by young adults. MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DRIVE – all proceeds will be donated to the Wind Youth Services and the Sacramento LGBT Community Center – QSPOT.
