Baby Storytime is designed to encourage early learning through shared reading, songs, rhymes and movement. Recommended for birth through 24 months, but older kids are welcome!
We welcome
Afghan-American author Toba Adina-Jao for a reading of her book Me, Mommy,
Mantu. This beautiful story pays homage to Afghan culture while cooking the
traditional dish mantu. Toba will be signing away copies of her book.
Additional book giveaways will be available while supplies last.
Children and their caregivers are welcome to join us for fun songs, stories, fingerplays and activities that can help build early literacy skills for children.
This event developed by Sacramento Public Library youth librarians in support of our early learning priority.

Calling all mystery lovers! Join us for an enjoyable and friendly discussion of a variety of mystery fiction titles. Copies of this month’s title are available at the front desk. New members are always welcome! This month we are discussing Back to the Garden by Laurie R. King.
Join the Colonial Heights Library for STEAM for Kids. Each program features a different activity that explores Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. This program is designed for kids ages 6-12.
We are delighted to host Leticia
Ordaz, an award-winning author at the International Latino Book Awards and a
local Emmy winning anchor/reporter, for a bilingual book reading of "Mr. Macaw
Lost in the Big City".
There will be art activities, book giveaways and signings
while supplies last. Children in attendance can enter to win one of four
68-inch Mr. Macaw Kites.
Join us on the third Tuesday of every month for a film noir movie and popcorn in the Galleria West Meeting Room! This month we'll be watching Badlands.
Students in Kindergarten through 8th grade can attend the Homework Zone and will be helped by trained Teen Homework Coaches in completing their school assignments. Drop-in homework help is available every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00-5:30 pm in the Children's Area.
Join us for Explore and Learn, a program with fun
learning activities for young children and their caregivers to meet others and
play together. We'll be playing outside in the garden, or in the community room depending on weather and air quality.
This program free and designed for children 0 – 5. No
registration, drop-ins welcome.
