Celebrate Día at the Library
Join us for a month-long celebration of Día, also known as El día de los niños and El día de los libros. Día was created in 1996 by children’s author Pat Mora to bring together families and kids with the joy of reading.
During the month of April, we encourage children and their families from all backgrounds and cultures to come together and share their love of reading in any language. Throughout this month, you’ll find events and activities for everyone in the family at the library.
Join us for Spanish Bilingual Storytime events at select library locations. We will share stories and activities in Spanish and English. Children will receive a book to keep, a colorful storytime scarf, and a shaker egg while supplies last.
Mariela’s Music Time
Join us for a fun family-oriented musical performance with Mariela from Mariela’s Music Time. Enjoy an energetic, educational, and interactive bilingual performance filled with rhythms and multicultural sounds, along with the rich traditions of our region.
Spanish Bilingual Baby Rhymes on Instagram
Enjoy Spanish Bilingual Baby Rhymes with us on Instagram every week throughout April. This series of videos developed by our bilingual librarians model developmentally appropriate activities for you to use at home with your baby. We hope you’ll give them a try.
