Summer Explorers

Explore, play, and learn this summer

Children, teens, families, and friends are invited to join the library at local parks for in-person pop up programs featuring playful exploration and learning. There will be special activities for youth of all ages. Activities can be done at the park in a socially distanced way or you can bring them home to enjoy. We’ll have tables and set up at a safe distance at which to create, explore, and play. You are welcome to stay and play!

Even the youngest children will be excited to grab a to-go container full of playful kitchen ingredients so they can show you all the wonderful meals they’ve got planned! Activities for older kids and teens may include creating a microscope, planting a seed, making a sun print, or starting a journal.

Look for our team, and our brand new mobile, lightweight Street Lab furniture at the park for easy and distanced distribution and play areas. We’ll also show your family what the activity includes, how to use it, share ideas how to keep the fun summer learning going. We look forward to seeing you!
