Achieve your learning and career goals with live one-on-one academic coaching, practice test center, writing lab, and skill building. Login to the online service with your Library card.

Gale Courses 
Six-week-long online programs are taught by college instructors. New courses begin each month, and lessons are assigned twice a week, enhanced to support varied learning styles. Enjoy self-paced learning and engagement with other students and the instructor with weekly discussion boards. This service is available 24/7.

Job Coaches
Our skilled and experienced volunteer coaches can help you in-person write a better resume, ace your interview and search online job listings more effectively. View upcoming Job Coach sessions and locations.

Knowledge City - Available until August 1
Knowledge City offers timely online training in business, computer, safety, compliance and finance with programs crafted by experienced instructors, college professors and industry experts from around the world. Access is available 24/7 and certificates of completion are available. The service is available in Spanish and English.

Test Preparation
Prepare to pass tests with study materials and online practice tests. Exams include the ASVAB, TOEFL, TOEIC, NCLEX, civil service, firefighter, law enforcement, real estate license, accountant/auditor exams and more.

Online technology school that offers beginner to advanced coding courses in web design, web development, mobile development and game development. This resource is invite only and after filling out a short form you will receive a welcome email within 24-48 hours. This resource graciously provided temporarily for patrons due to Covid-19.

Is resume review on the Adult Learning Center free?

The Adult Learning Center is an online service free to anyone with a valid Sacramento Public Library card.

I don’t have an email account. How do I sign up for job coaching?

No problem. Call the Library to make an appointment for job coaching at one of our locations. Our job coaches can also help you set up a free email account to assist with your job hunt.
