The Friends of the Sacramento Public Library is a volunteer, community-based organization. 

Friends of Sacramento Public Library (Friends) is the only official non-profit fundraising partner of the Sacramento Public Library.  Established in 1960 as a membership-supported nonprofit, the Friends advocate, raise funds, and provide crucial support for the system's 28 library locations.

Together, the Friends and Library collaborate on programs to inspire a lifelong love of reading and learning, expand community access, offer welcoming public spaces, and provide opportunities for all communities in Sacramento County to discover, learn and grow. Friends have a long history of supporting early literacy efforts with Sacramento

Book Den

The Book Den sells gently-used quality books and media, with proceeds benefiting the Sacramento Public Library. The Book Den Store is now open! Book Den shoppers will also be allowed to shop in the warehouse during store hours. Masks must be worn at all times.

Hours
Every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Donations are taken Wednesday and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
