Songs from the Movies

A classic crossover experience

String quartet UBG Strings will perform beloved songs from some of your favorite movies in two free concerts on May 22 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Library Galleria. Bring your friends, family and a sense of wonder as we celebrate the magic of movies and music together.

With numerous recording credits, accolades, and Grammy nominations for their work, the UBG Strings roster of musicians is a diverse collective of music industry professionals. The have toured exclusively and worked with the likes of Solange, Peter Gabriel, Bjork, Quincy Jones, Tony Bennett, Carl Cox, Death Cab for Cutie, Stevie Wonder, Echo and the Bunnymen, The San Francisco and Berkeley Symphonies. Most recently UBG Strings work has been featured on the Netflix programs Night Teeth and Bridgerton and the HBO series Lovecraft County. 

Not your ordinary string quartet, UBG Strings is a diverse ensemble of accomplished professional musicians with a unique and versatile sound that transcends centuries and genres. With their unique arrangements, from funk and folk to hip-hop, western classical chamber music, jazz, and even 80's rock ballads, UBG Strings celebrates their combined artistic passions, cultural influences, and individual personalities in every performance.
