Join our Teen Advisory Board where teens earn community service credit and gain experience by creating and implementing projects and programs through Library Leadership. What is it? Library Leadership is a teen-driven council for the Fair Oaks Library. Teens work together in specific service committees to plan and implement programs, promote library resources and services, and increase our impact through strategic marketing and outreach. These teen-led committees help the Fair Oaks Library connect with the community in new and exciting ways. Who can join? Teens who are in high school and who can commit to one school-year of service and development under the guidance of professional library staff. Why join? Library Leadership members have the opportunity to gain leadership skills, program planning experience, and a chance to give back to their community. It will also be a fun and social way to make new friends, use your talents, and build your résumé for future endeavors. How to join: Become a founding member of Library Leadership today by visiting the Fair Oaks Library for an application or attending one of our Teen Advisory Board meetings that happen on the 1st Thursday of every month at 4pm. Teens in high school welcome!
